It is always so much fun to be able to shoot with Macy, there is always an adventure! When I did her senior session she took me up in her hay mows & there were cows & pretty dresses... no hay mows this time, but there were plenty of cows! Macy is now engaged to the man who was obviously made for her! They both love cattle & are raising some beautiful animals already!
Here is their story, according to Macy...
"We met showing cows when we were little kids and been friends ever since. We both grew up fast working on the farm learning responsibility at a young age, as soon as we could walk and carry a feed scoop around.
We both had to grow up early beacuse of the milk price falling out, our dads' had to get outside jobs off the farm, and we had to pick up the work on the farm plus our regular chores we already had.
I had to take care of my sisters. Casey had to go through losing his best friend and sister Cailey right after her birthday a few years ago. His bracelet he wears is her memory bracelet.
I remember at State Fair when we were like, 10 throwing spiders over the rafters and dropping them on people, and hidding in the aisles with him and Cailey so people couldn't see us when we droped them! It was so fun, and we continued to keep doing it throughout the years even when we were to big, but we were still little kids at heart.
Cailey and Casey both loved the cows and doing chores teasing each other. After she passed he was the glue that held them together, she loved the farm so much, so it made him hold on to it more even now.
He started his own 4 wheeler shop. It started up in a garage, with his brother Camron, now its grown so much from a few 4 wheelers in a garage, to all different kinds of off road vehicles! Up to around 50 with a certified mechanic and a close friend Corry.
My favorite part of my day is coming home and doing chores with him at night beacuse our time we get to spend together and be both love working with them its relaxing, even though its work. We have built up our own herd of cows together now, and our farm name is Bakers Fashion and hope to keep growing our herd and keep going to state and national shows.
Cows are our main thing but we love ridding ATVs and hunting, we ride around the farm almost every week.
Nobody ever understood how much I love dairy farming and showing as much as he does, because he loves it just as much as i do!"
They put all the things they love into their engagement session...
taken on their land.
